She loved watching magic at the age of 6, watching her first magic show at Disneyland. When she was 10, she visited the Natural History Museum’s Butterfly Pavilion, where a Butterfly landed on her shoulder. That butterfly was the Julia Butterfly,  and it’s scientific name is the the Dryas Iulia. She fell in love with butterflies, which remind her everyday to take one day at a time.

She started pursuing magic at age 16, starting as a Magician’s Assistant with Magician Peter Winch, getting cut in half and jumping out of boxes, and taking Magic Classes at Magic University at the World Famous Magic Castle. When she heard about the Academy of Magical Arts’ Junior Program at the Magic Castle, She knew she had to join. 

Julia Dryas is also a forever student of the McBride Magic and Mystery School in Las Vegas, where she has mentored with Jeff Mcbride.

She became Julia Dryas, The Butterfly Loving Magician, combining her passions to inspire her audiences to pursue their passions.
